Heartfelt Creations,  Hochanda,  shabby chic,  Tonic dies

Heartfelt creations tag made using off cuts.

If you’re anything like me you will have loads of off cuts from your precious paper collections that you cannot bare to throw out no matter how small. This tag was made using off cuts from the sweet peony collection from Heartfelt Creations. These papers are so lovely and have so many cutable elements it’s easy to stash the leftovers as you never know when they might come in handy…does this sound familiar??

I made this tag in 15 minutes…this is unheard of for me! If you’re new to Heartfelt Creations you can find their monthly collections by tuning in to Hochanda. Every month a new collection is released which usually sells really quickly and tend not to be re-released…in other words grab them when you can! Not only do they produce beautiful patterned papers they also produce quality stamps and matching dies.

What you will need:

Tag die- I used Tonic essentials

Border die

kraft card

Cream card

Patterned paper

Die cutting machine

Glue

Foam pads

Scissors

Ribbon

Flat backed pearl

Distress ink-tea dye

Method

First cut yourself a tag from kraft card. Using the same die cut patterned paper from your left overs and fix to you tag base as shown below.

Nest I cut a border strip from some patterned paper and die cut a border from cream card. Once cut I distressed the edges with distress ink and fixed to the tag to hide where the papers overlapped.

Next I cut a selection of images from a topper sheet and rolled some scraps of paper to make tubes.

Along with a fussy cut peony these were then layered and attached to the card front as shown.

So that’s it, a really quick and easy way of using up those scraps you can’t bear to part with. This could be used as a focal point to a card or used as a stand alone tag.

Thanks for taking the time to pop by
