Hello everyone and welcome to my first blog post in what feels like forever!
Sometimes life just gets in the way and it has certainly got in the way of my crafting! Anyway, I’m back with what I hope will be the first of many new posts.
Today I’m sharing with you a quick tag I made using Graphic 45 botanical tea collection. This is a beautiful collection of papers and embellishments with bold floral patterns which lends itself perfectly to any occasion.
I began by using a graphic 45 basic medium tag. Using the medium tag die I cut a mat for the tag from the 8×8 paper pad. The tag die gives you the perfect mat as it leaves an ideal border for the tag. Once this was attached to the tag base I fixed a rectangle of contrasting paper to the tag.
Using the clock face die I cut the outer decorative edge from gold satin card. This die is absolutely stunning and cuts perfectly. This was then glued to the tag as shown.
I then took one of the chip board tags and mounted it to dark blue paper from the pad and cut around leaving a fine border. This makes the item pop when it is layered onto the tag. Graphic 45 papers all work so well when mounted onto black or dark colours.
I cut the actual clock face from black card and glued to the lower corner of the tag. Once dried I trimmed it to the edges of the tag as shown.
The tag was then finished with a selection of flowers and die cut leaves.
Thanks for popping by
