How to create card background with page dies
Today I have a quick post for you showing how I created this card using a spellbinders page die set.

I made this card using scraps of paper and card as I am trying to be good by using what I already have in my stash.
I bought the die set a while ago from Craft Price Drop on Hochanda…it was a bargain! This is the creative pages 2 set from Spellbinders.
Craft Price Drop
If you haven’t heard of craft price drop where have you been? This is the place to get bargains for crafting…although be warned…it is highly addictive !
Craft price drop happens 3 times a day on Hochanda, 7am & 7pm, it also is available online only at 11am. It does what it says on the tin…the price keeps dropping until all the stock is gone. Obviously it’s hit and miss and there may be auctions where the items don’t appeal to you but let me tell you I have had some amazing deals…I have saved a fortune and spent a fortune…if you know what I mean!
Creating the card background
To make this card background I used papers from the rustic wedding collection from Crafters Companion. This paper collection has some gorgeous papers. All are single sided however are a great weight and lend themselves to being layered, see the full collection here
This die set contains a variety of layering dies which I cut from the patterned paper , kraft card and cream card. As the dies also emboss I used Creative expressions gilding polish to highlight this. I love this gilding polish it is so creamy and you need very little of it. The gilding polish can be found a Craftstash click the link here. They are great value for money and currently at a great price. (£3.99 instead of £5.50) I have used the pearl lustre in this project, however there are many different colours available.
I added the dream sentiment which is from the ‘will’s hand’ collection from Tonic. This is another product I have bought from Craft Stash and can be found here
These dies are perfect for adding finishing touches to your projects and the font used is really lovely. They are again at a great price on the craft stash website selling for £4.99 instead of £6.49.
I think this finishes the card off perfectly.
