Romantic rustic card
Hello everyone, I hope you are all well?
Today I’m sharing with you how I made this rustic card…which took me a week to finish thanks to crafters block!
I made this card using the rustic wedding collection from Crafters Companion. This is simply the most beautiful collection of dies and papers and is perfect for making rustic/shabby chic projects. The natural colour palette is gorgeous however items do not need to necessarily be used for wedding themes.

From rustic wedding collection:
Patterned kraft card
self adhesive hessian
quilling flower die set
Other products used:
8X8 card blank
Dawn Bibby lace
filigree heart die
selection of paper flowers
Here’s what I did
Firstly I cut a piece of patterned kraft card to fit the card blank, the edges were distressed with scissors and inked the edges with brown ink.
I tore a selection of patterned papers and again inked the edges with brown ink before layering them onto the card front. Then I added a decorative die cut in cream card and a piece of crocheted lace. Next I added a diet cut hessian heart using the outside cutting edge of the lace heart from the set. Then I added the ‘love’ sentiment which I had cut from kraft card.
Next I covered a filigree heart die cut with pearl gilding polish to give a metallic finish. Once the gilding polish was dry a buffed with some dry paper towel to give added shine.
This was then added to the card front as shown.
The card was then finished with a quadruple raffia bow. I added a selection of paper flowers and die cut flourishes. Pearls were also added to complete the rustic look.
I hope you like this card. Thank you for taking the time to read this post.
