Special day card

Hello everyone. I feel like I’ve had no time to create lately having had 2 very poorly children one with the flu, the other with tonsillitis. They are both better now so I’ve had a chance to do some crafting.
Today I’m sharing with you a simple card I have made using dies and embossing folders from the Card Making Magic range by Christina Griffiths and Apple Blossom which are exclusive to CraftStash.

I have to say these products performed brilliantly. The embossing folder gives a lovely deep emboss and the dies cut perfectly like a hot knife through butter.
This card is really quick and easy to make and took literally 20 minutes to put together.

To make this card I used:
DL card blank
Kraft card
Patterned paper
Paper flowers
Sentiment stamp
Black ink pad
Foam pads
Hot glue gun

Here’s what I did:
Firstly I embossed a rectangle of Kraft card using the embossing folder.
You can see from the photo how deep the emboss is.

I then used the rectangle nesting frames dies to cut a selection of layers from different patterned paper. The label shaped layer I also ran through the embossing folder.

I then built the layers up as shown below using foam pads to add dimension. I set the panel off centre.

I then built up a selection of flowers and attached with hot glue. I added a raffia bow and stamped the special day sentiment using black ink onto the banner die cut and tucked it in behind the flowers. I added a die cut bow shaped button and placed over the knot of the bow.

I hope you like this card.
