How to create mixed media backgrounds

Hello again everyone.
Today I’m sharing with you how I made this mixed media background. This background is ready to be mounted onto a card front or it could be framed. It was very easy to create.

I have used a combination of imagination crafts  and decoart products to create paint effects. Papers and die cuts are from Crafters companion. Paper flowers are from my stash.

Texture paste applied through script stencil, once dry gilding polish applied. Gold, pink and green paints splattered onto background. I’ve used metallic paints to give shimmer. Gesso applied to top & bottom left corners.

I cut a frame die twice and glued together. Frame was then cut in half  and covered with gilding polish. It was then glued to left side.

Tag die cut and applied as shown with 3D foam pads. Selection of paper flowers and resin embellishment attached as shown.

Thanks for popping by.
Leanne
