How to give Nordic Christmas a contemporary theme

Hello again!
I have well and truly got the Christmas bug and loving playing with my new Nordic themed dies from Crafters Companion.
I have made 2 cards using empty drinks can to cut the feature embellishment.
I have to confess getting the tin to lie flat was a bit of an issue so I placed it under my Gemini for a bit and that did the trick!

Here’s how I made it:

Tear a strip of patterned paper and attach to right side of card blank. Stamp and  heat emboss the script stamp to left side of card (I didn’t use even pressure to get a more distressed look).

Attach a piece of hessian centrally. Cut hear† die from used drinks can and swipe over gilding polish to give a more aged look to the tin. Attach  to the right of the hessian.

Add ribbon and bakers twine bows. Add snowflake die cut

Below is an alternative card where the tin has not been aged and different embellishments used.

I’d love to know what you think?…I’m off to play some more.
Thanks for popping by
Leanne x
